Village Hall

The present village hall was constructed in 1978 with a recent extension in 2010.

Situated in the heart of the village close to the village green and the White Swan public house it is enthusiastically supported by the Parish Community and on occasions by people from outside including Coast to Coast walkers.

To give a flavour of popular activities there follows a schedule of past events to highlight what an asset it is to the community:
Sewing Classes, Afternoon Tea’s, Race Night, Quiz Night, Disco’s, Dances, Table-Top Sales, Fund-Raising Auctions, Duck Race, Sponsored Walks, “Scarecrow Trail”, “Its a Knock-out”, Youth Club, Village Bonfire.

“100 Club” ANNUALLY ( numbers are allocated to 100 people who want to support The Village Hall Funds at a cost of £15 per person per year. There is a monthly prize draw of four numbers with a bi-annual major prize draw.)

Hire Costs

Subject to the type of useage required by the applicant the following charges are required with payment up front.

Hall and kitchen
Full Day – £70
Parties (evening) – £70
Children’s Parties – £40

Kitchen only (meetings) – £10

Hall only (classes) – £10

Payments of Hire Charges are required in advance of the event.
Any damages or breakages are at Hirers risk.

The Village Hall Committee

The Village Hall committee is responsible for steering the events and organizing the essential logistics. It is open to input from anyone with innovative ideas on future events. The Committee will have final say on the implementation of any event.
